In-Person Guidelines

The questions below are to serve as in-person guidelines in regards to ALANA programming, work-study, and use of the Center for Intercultural Engagement (CIE) with the return to campus. Please note that these guidelines will be updated frequently as new information is received from the university.

Will students be able to utilize the Center for Intercultural Engagement (CIE)?

The CIE is accessible to all students. While masks are currently not required on campus, we ask that any persons entering and using the space be mindful of the safety and well-being of others.  If you feel unwell, we request that you be considerate and maintain social distancing or stay home.

Will student organizations be able to hold general body meetings?

General body meetings have resumed to full capacity.  Students should continue to adhere to university protocol as it pertains to health and safety.  ALANA club leaders should continue to consult with their GA liaison and/or ALANA staff to schedule their GBM's and reserve the CIE and other campus spaces.

Will attendance at in person programs and events be restricted?

Attendance is not restricted for most events.  We will continue to offer as many hybrid options for programs and events as possible.

Will outside entertainment and food/catering be permissible?

Entertainment (i.e. speakers, performing artists, etc.) is allowed for ALANA sponsored events. Student clubs should consult with ALANA Services as it pertains to the off-campus food policy.

Will work study jobs be available in ALANA Services?

Students who are work study eligible and interested in working in ALANA should email us at alana@loyola.edu. Should positions be available, eligible students may be contacted.

Who can I contact if I have questions or need more information about compliance with COVID safety guidelines?

Students can direct questions to Ms. Raven, Director of ALANA Services at 410-617-2310 or alana@loyola.edu.

Thank you for doing your part to keep the community safe!
