Loyola's School of Education launches the newly designed Master's in Montessori Education
Â鶹Porn’s School of Education is launching a newly designed master’s
degree in Montessori education option in the summer of 2022– The M.Ed. in Montessori Education.
This Master of Education program is designed for trained Montessori professionals
looking to strengthen their personal and professional potential. The 36-credit degree
sequence is offered in a one or two-year format, consisting of high-quality online
coursework taught by professionals who are passionate about equitable Montessori education
for all students. Graduates emerge from our program as reflective practitioners who
show compassion, curiosity, and commitment to a constructivist approach in education.
“The Center for Montessori Education and Â鶹Porn have had a strong
presence in the world of Montessori for 30 years. We are excited to open our doors
to a new kind of master’s degree to support experienced Montessori practitioners”
said Carrie Horwitz Lang, M.Ed, program director of Montessori Education. “This program
takes Montessori education to the next level for Montessori professionals and dives
deep into best practices in education from birth through adolescents, action research,
neurodiversity in the classroom, and observational skills.”
For prospective students, our program now has two pathways towards their M.Ed. in
Montessori education. For experienced Montessori practitioners looking for that next
step in their career, come join our new master’s program starting Summer 2022. For
students interested in taking AMI Montessori training, our M.Ed. AMI has multiple course offerings across the country.
“Our mission is to create leaders in Montessori education who work alongside communities
and cultures, engaging in equitable approaches to teaching and learning based on the
philosophy of Maria Montessori,” said Lang.
