Position Graduate Assistant for Communications & Operations
Hours and Wages

Position Schedule: 2026-27 academic year.

Remuneration: Student compensation will be $18/hour for a maximum of up to 11 hours per week. It will average out to about $7,680 for the academic year.

Position Term: August 24, 2026 – May 14, 2027. Start date flexibility is possible at request.

Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled as a degree seeking graduate student in Âé¶ąPorn.
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting the development of marketing, 2D, and videography projects and campaigns.
  • Knowledge, experience and/or interest in using Canva, Microsoft Excel, and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication, organization, detail oriented, and project management skills.
  • Experience and/or interest in coordinating events, and tracking logistics and data points.
  • High cultural competency is required. Must demonstrate skills and knowledge in supporting the needs of diverse undergraduate students.
  • Interest in community service, service- learning, community engagement, community organizing or social justice work.
  • Ability and willingness to work with community partners, students, faculty, and campus partners.
Scope and Responsibilities

This person will primarily work with the Assistant Director for Operations and CCSJ’s undergraduate Publicity Assistant(s) and Outreach & Engagement Program Coordinator to generate recruitment strategies and marketing materials for CCSJ programming and Loyola community engagement opportunities, update the website, and create social media posts.

Position Duties:

  1. Identify creative ways to promote service and justice activities. Identify specialized audiences not currently involved in CCSJ programs and identify respective segmented approaches, in collaboration with CCSJ staff and the undergraduate interns.
  2. Develop special outreach promotions around “Seasons of Service” and other notable service and justice thematic weeks.
  3. Assist the CCSJ Director and Assistant Director for Operations with marketing, communications, and social media campaigns to promote service, volunteer opportunities and community-engaged learning and scholarship courses (CELS).
  4. Provide administrative support to help students complete service – i.e., motor pool, the Bridge Modules, fingerprinting process, etc.
  5. Complete Omni CMS training to learn editing tips and tools for CCSJ’s website.
  6. Other duties as assigned or desired.

 

This position will report to the Assistant Director for Operations. Ongoing support will be provided.
