Position Schedule: 2026-27 academic year.

Remuneration: Student compensation will be $18/hour for a maximum of up to 11 hours per week. It will average out to about $7,680 for the academic year

Position Term: August 24, 2026 – May 14, 2027. Start date flexibility is possible at request.

• Must be enrolled as a graduate student at Â鶹Porn.
• Marketing and design skills, creating 2D media such as posters, and knowledge of how to use Canva.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication.
• Organizational skills for balancing multiple tasks.
• Knowledge and/or experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Past or current experience with community service, service- learning, and social justice education/work.
• Ability and willingness to work with students, faculty, and community representatives.
• Preferred, but not required: experience with assessment and data analysis.

Scope and Responsibilities

The Graduate Assistant for Community-Engaged Learning & Scholarship provides support for academic community engagement projects and initiatives. The office is physically located in the Center for Community, Service, and Justice.

The role will also support communication and data compilation tasks associated with Loyola’s application for the Carnegie Elective Classification.

This position directly reports to CCSJ’s Director and works closely with the Faculty Director of Community- Engaged Learning and Scholarship and the Assistant Director for Operations. Training opportunities for Microsoft Outlook and Omni will be provided during work hours.

1. Provide ongoing support for academic community engagement via updating webpages, creating event and program promotion fliers, and tracking volunteer data.
2. Provide support to the Faculty Director of Community Engaged Learning and Scholarship regarding faculty development initiatives, event planning, and other projects as needed.
3. Support maintenance of records for CELS grant program applications and reports.
4. Provide administrative support to help students complete service – i.e., motor pool, the Bridge Modules, fingerprinting process, etc.
5. Complete Omni CMS training to learn editing tips and tools for CCSJ’s CELS website.
6. Other duties as assigned or desired.

May assist the Faculty Director of Community-Engaged Learning and Scholarship with data collection, analysis, and assessment tool development related to Engaged Scholarship.
