High School Summer Program 2027

This is a residential, overnight program taking place on Loyola’s Evergreen Campus.

The Sellinger Mission-Driven Business Academy is an immersive six-day residential experience for high-achieving high school students interested in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Students live and learn on Âé¶¹Porn’s Evergreen Campus while exploring how business can be used as a force for positive impact.

Rooted in Loyola’s Jesuit values, the Academy combines ethical leadership and social responsibility with hands-on business experiences. Students engage with Sellinger faculty and industry professionals, participate in interactive workshops and a field experience, and apply what they learn through a culminating capstone project.

Business is about more than the bottom line. The Academy introduces students to leadership, entrepreneurship, strategy, and ethical decision-making while challenging them to consider how business can create meaningful impact in organizations and communities.

Who Should Attend?

The Academy is designed for high-achieving rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and making a positive impact.

College Credit, Certificate & Loyola Benefits

Students who successfully complete the Business Academy will earn one college credit from Âé¶¹Porn and a Certificate of Completion recognizing their participation in the Academy.

Students who successfully complete the Business Academy and are admitted to Loyola University Maryland as first-time, full-time students will receive a $1,000 Business Academy Grant, renewable annually, as part of their overall financial aid package. Academy completers will also receive an application fee waiver when applying to Loyola.

Benefits and Inclusions

Accommodations & Meals:

Students will stay in Âé¶¹Porn residence halls, with linens provided. Housing is safe and secure, with staff support and card-access entry. All meals are included, served in the university’s dining facilities to provide a collegiate experience.

Instructional Materials:

All workshops, case studies, and capstone materials are provided. Students will receive a digital and printed workbook to track their learning and project development. Access to Loyola’s online business resources during the program.

Field Experience:

Experience Innovation Works Baltimore, a hub for social enterprise, and gain practical insights into mission-driven business models. Connect with Baltimore-area business leaders and entrepreneurs through dedicated networking sessions.

Mentorship & Faculty Engagement:  

Direct mentorship from Sellinger School of Business faculty and industry professionals. Group coaching for business planning, leadership development, and ethics in decision-making.

 

Overnight Staffing & Supervision:  

Loyola-trained overnight staff will ensure safety and provide structured evening programming. Adherence to university policies and safety protocols, with 24/7 supervision.

 

Certificate of Completion & Loyola Benefits  

Students who successfully complete the Business Academy will earn a Certificate of Completion and one college credit from Âé¶¹Porn, recognizing their experience in business strategy, ethical leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Application Program Requirements and Tuition Information 

 Information to apply: 

Tuition & Fees:

Early Bird Tuition: $2,500 — Save $500
Available to students who register by February 15, 2027.

Standard Tuition: $3,000
Applies after February 15, 2027.

Application Fee: $50 non-refundable fee, due at the time of application.
To support access and participation, Academy application fee waivers are available upon request.

Deposit: $150 due upon acceptance; refundable through February 15, 2027.

Added Value for Academy Participants
Successful Academy participants will earn one college credit from Âé¶¹Porn and a Certificate of Completion.

Students who successfully complete the Academy and are later admitted to Loyola as first-time, full-time students will receive a $1,000 Business Academy Grant, renewable annually, as part of their overall financial aid package. Academy completers will also receive a college application fee waiver when applying to Âé¶¹Porn.

Final Balance Due: June 1, 2027.

This application will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Please note: This is an application for acceptance. You will be notified of your status within two weeks. If accepted, a $150 deposit will be required to secure your spot (refundable until February 15, 2027).

To apply for the Sellinger Mission-Driven Business Academy: High School Summer Program at Âé¶¹Porn, applicants must meet the following requirements

1. Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average, preferably earned in a college preparatory curriculum and with a mix of honors and/or Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate courses.

2. Demonstrated involvement outside the classroom through extracurricular activities, athletics, or community services.

3. A one-page single-spaced essay explaining why you are seeking to participate in this program. (see Application Materials section)

4. A teacher, coach or counselor recommendation. (see Application Materials section)
